Learning at NIS

Noblesse International School provides a rich academic environment based upon the ideals of Classical Education … with a global perspective.

Our Early Years and Elementary programs use the American curriculum (including the Common Core Standards) to provide learning content that supports the Grammar Stage of Classical Education.  During these years instruction focuses on the learning of facts, including:  The rules of phonics, spelling, and grammar; the vocabulary of foreign languages; the stories of history and literature; descriptions of plants, animals and the human body; and the facts of mathematics (such as the “times tables.”).

Our Middle School program continues to use the American curriculum (including the Common Core Standards) to provide learning content that supports the Logic Stage of Classical Education.  During these years students are encouraged to make connections between facts and concepts, thereby promoting critical thinking.

The beginning of our High School Program also uses the American curriculum to provide learning content that supports the Rhetoric Stage of Classical Education. Students apply the rules of logic learned in middle school to the foundational information learned in the early grades in order to express his/her conclusions in clear, forceful, elegant language.  As with the Logic Stage, this stage of classical education also promotes critical thinking and problem-solving.

The Rhetoric Stage at Noblesse also includes the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program that prepares students for effective participation in a rapidly evolving and increasingly global society (which demands strong problem-solving skills), and is also recognized and respected by the world’s leading universities.
